In 2017, a focus group made up of people from many departments and non-governmental organizations came together several times to discuss health-related impacts of climate change in the Blackfeet Nation and determine a way to build awareness and adaptation goals. As a result, of the designed to educate people in Blackfeet Country about both impacts and adaptation opportunities. The focus group consisted of an interdisciplinary group of tribal health managers, natural resource managers, non-governmental organizations, tribal leaders, and educators. Their efforts led to the creation of this website, particularly the information about climate-related health impacts, as well as a series of ten handouts that describe impacts, identify groups of people who are most at risk, and suggest opportunities to adapt.
